Optical storage system networking technology to assist new power systems

The optical storage system utilizes grid technology to fully utilize the advantages of photovoltaic systems and energy storage, addressing the three major challenges faced by high proportion renewable energy electricity, and assisting in the construction of new power systems.



Based on a deep understanding of the power grid, Sunshine Power has launched nine major technologies for building an optical storage system for the power grid, which can solve the problems encountered in large-scale new energy integration into the power grid and ensure that the optical storage system can operate normally under weak current networks and high energy penetration rates. In the first half of this year, Sunshine Power released the "White Paper on Stem Cell Grid Technology" and the "5A Fusion Ground Power Station Solution White Paper", which detailed the nine major technologies, as shown in the table below.

The use of the above grid construction technology will make the power grid present more stable and flexible power characteristics, which can help the new power system to have more stable voltage and frequency, prevent wind power and photovoltaic power plants from being disconnected from the grid, and improve the rapid recovery ability after disconnection. 1) Improving the strength of optical storage systems: When frequency fluctuations occur in the power grid, it can provide millisecond level inertia response and quickly suppress frequency fluctuations; When the transient voltage of the power grid changes, synchronous adjustment of active power and port voltage is achieved. The fluctuation of the power grid voltage is less than 2% Un, which effectively improves the power grid strength and increases the proportion of photovoltaic absorption.




2) Restore power supply to the power grid: In the event of a disconnection fault in a local power grid, it can quickly assist in restarting the gas turbine and reconnecting the power generation of new energy stations, achieving the construction of a regional and city level distributed power grid and quickly restoring power supply.




3) Enhance auxiliary benefits: Quickly and flexibly participate in auxiliary services such as power grid peak shaving, frequency regulation, and backup power applications to obtain benefits.
