Compared with lithium batteries, the chemical reactions of lead carbon batteries and anode are mild and slow, which makes it a safer technology.
The minimum charging time of the lead carbon battery at 100%discharge depth is about 5 hours, which is more than twice that of lithium batteries. When a fast discharge response is needed, the discharge performance of the lead carbon is lower than that of LFP, and the lead-carbon is not suitable for the fast response system, such as the frequency control system. But for arbitrage systems that do not need to be frequent and fast -operated, lead -carbon technology can meet the needs.
