Lithium iron phosphate battery, referred to as LFP, refers to lifpo4 lithium battery technology with anode. Since its first establishment of NTT (Japan) in 1996, it is recognized as the safest lithium battery technology. Typical manufacturers are Ningde Times, BYD, Yimei, etc.
LFP has more than 3500 long -term life. Among all lithium battery technology, its service life ranks first. The energy density of the LFP battery is about 200kWh/m3. LFP also shows the advantages of fast charging/discharge response. The minimum charging time of the 100 % discharge depth of LFP batteries is about 2 hours. As shown in the table below, in a short time discharge operation, it can maintain a capacity of nearly 100%. This good operating characteristics make LFP an ideal technology for fast response systems, such as frequency control.
