Before the "Two Sessions", Zhang Tianren, Chairman of Tianneng Group, Zhao Yong, Chairman of Sichuan Changhong Electronic Holding Group Co., Ltd., and Shu Xin, Chairman of Jinao Group have put forward such proposals as "improving the power lithium ion battery recycling system", "accelerating the construction of lithium ion battery recycling system", "promoting the legislation of power battery recycling". Recycling of power lithium batteries has become a focus issue.

In fact, during the two sessions of the National People's Congress and the National People's Congress, the deputies have always paid attention to this hot spot.

During the National Two Sessions in 2020, the Central Committee of Civil Construction proposed to strengthen the top-level design of power lithium battery recycling, establish a power lithium battery recycling management system, increase the research and development of power lithium battery recycling technology, and promote the commercial development of power lithium battery recycling.

At the two sessions in 2019, Chen Xiaohong, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and president of Hunan University of Business, proposed to improve China's power battery recycling system and industry standards, optimize relevant industrial technologies, and establish a mandatory recycling system for power lithium battery batteries.

During the two sessions in 2018, Zhou Shanhong, a deputy to the National People's Congress and the chairman of Jiangsu Wanshun Electromechanical Group, proposed to speed up the formulation of laws and regulations on the recycling of power batteries for new energy vehicles.

From the perspective of the industry, with the approaching of the first retirement peak of power lithium batteries, the recovery of power lithium batteries has become an urgent issue and one of the important topics in the development of the current new energy vehicle industry.
