The energy density of lithium iron phosphate battery is far less than that of ternary lithium ion battery, but its safety is generally considered to be better than that of ternary lithium ion battery.

Safety performance: In terms of safety, the lithium ion iron phosphate battery pack has more advantages than the ternary lithium ion battery. The reason is that the nickel cobalt aluminum 18650 battery in the ternary material will self heat when the temperature exceeds 180 , which is difficult to control after the fire, while the lithium iron phosphate material will release heat when the temperature reaches 250 . In general, ternary lithium material is easier to ignite than lithium iron phosphate material.

Cycle life: The lithium iron phosphate battery is equivalent to the ternary battery. The cycle life of the single cell is more than 3000 times. After being grouped, the service life decreases due to the complex working environment.
