1. Lithium ion batteries can be charged at any time. It doesn't matter if there is still 50% of the power before charging. This is because, unlike nickel metal hydride batteries, they have memory effects and lithium ion batteries don't. However, it should be noted that the lithium ion battery cannot be over discharged, which will cause irreversible capacity loss. When the machine warns that the battery is low, it will start charging immediately.

2. Never overcharge. When the charging completion indicator is on, stop charging. If the battery is not used for a long time, the battery should be taken out of the instrument and stored in a dry and cool place. It should be charged once within 60~90 days to avoid long storage time. The battery is too low due to self discharge, resulting in irreversible capacity loss. Because the best storage state of lithium ion batteries is semi electric storage.

Charging for compensating self discharge

We understand that the maximum voltage of the lithium ion battery is 4.2V, so the storage voltage should preferably be between 3.8V and 3.9V, when the capacity is basically half.

Use original charger

Try to use the original lithium-ion battery charger for charging. The original charger has strong supporting performance and moderate charging rate. Now there are some fast charging posts, so it is recommended not to use them too much. It is reasonable to use them once or twice a year. Excessive current charging will also cause great damage to the internal structure of the battery.

Storage temperature environment

The temperature environment is wide, ranging from - 20 ℃ to 55 ℃, but in fact, the most appropriate temperature is room temperature. From the perspective of aging, temperature may be an important reason for the gradual decline of lithium ion battery capacity.
